Team Morale
On working for the case project and the action project, we can safely say that the Practice track team at the university did a phenomenal job in teaming us as all our personalities blent in pretty quickly. We would not say it was easy as forming a good team morale required a lot of effort but half way into our case project we familiarised ourselves with each other’s working styles and it was an eye opening and educating experience to work with students from other modules.
Communication
We understood that communication goes a long way in making any project successful. Arranging daily work meetings at Virgil Building helped us eradicate any communication barriers within the team which might have occurred otherwise. As everyone at all times spoke in the same language, it was easier for us to work in sync with each other. The PM tools and ground rules made at the beginning of the action project followed through in aiding the intra-team communications.
Improvements
Technological Inadequacy
We are facing some technical issues while communicating with BEMSCA. Thier internet connection is unsteady which prevented us from doing any online meetings and the office being set up away from the city was inconvenient to have physical meetings.

We noticed the technological gap exists between BEMSCA members and our team. They did not have an online version of the survey which we were able to make and publish for them but the approval process took longer than it should. This made it difficult for them to understand our propositions and for us to understand their needs at times.

Indecisiveness
There were numerous instances when the charity went back on the things that were agreed upon in the meeting with them. We as a group thought that we kept losing track of our objectives for the day in our client meetings. The indecisiveness by the charity resulted in delays to submit the online proposal for approval as well as made it a little difficult for us to move forward with our work.
We realised that they have a lot on their plate which is why we made our point of contact with them afterwards. We were able to carry out smoother communication and so forth. We also made it a point that we sent minutes of meetings or a list of deliverables to our charity after every meeting.

However, we collectively feel that the project delivery would have worked out better if we would have been more assertive with our charity from the beginning.

Idea Overboard
Each member of our team came up with many exciting ideas and we were overly optimistic about getting every single one of them done. As, while explaining the Iron Triangle Reisse suggests, that a project is a human activity that aims at achieving clear objectives against a fixed time scale. We were a bit ignorant of the ‘time’ factor during the delivery. We feel the quality of our work could have been improved if we had lesser things on our plate.
