Team 11
According to Belbin Team Roles (2022), a practical tool which helps teams work more effectively to achieve group objectives. We found out our individual Belbin Team roles and our strengths and weaknesses when completing the Belbin questionnaires during teamwork training on campus.
What each role means?
Aboli Kandgul – Resource Investigator (Collaborate)
I am able to support my group with enthusiasm and all the information possible.

Punnasa Torsakul – Team worker (Negotiate)
I was able to support my team with most of the problems we faced, I am happy to say that I was able to work with the team to find solutions.

George Brown – Coordinator (The lead)
I stayed calm when things were not going our way, and I was able to lead and coordinate the team throughout the project.

Amruta Sonawane – Plant (Create)
I am glad that I helped my team with my creative ideas and thought out of the box to solve complex issues that we faced.

Qian Li – Monitor Evaluator (Do right)
I monitored work throughout the project and made sure as a group we made the right decisions.

Akash Velu – Specialist (Rare supply)
I am a person who was able to support the team with things which were difficult and able to help the team come up with different strategies.
​
Sam Cheriyan – Completer Finisher (Perfection)
I supported my team when under pressure (deadline) and I made sure we did things without any errors and polished them to perfection at the end.

Power Distance – 45
Low Power Distance: The team always had equal distribution of power and authority. Everyone in the group respected and heard other members. There was no domination by any member of the group.
Collectivism - 30: Team 11 is a tightly knit group. People’s self-image in this group is defined in terms of “WE” rather than “I”. The members always looked after each other and believed in helping each other.
Masculinity - 75: We can say we are a Masculine team, because we are a very competitive team and winning was important for all of us. We also highly believe in “Big is Beautiful”.
Low Uncertainty Avoidance - 35: We are a team who believes in practice is greater than principles. We were not rigid on forming any rules, we are a flexible and agile team. By following this attitude, we managed to get all our work done in time with perfection.
Long term orientation - 68: We as a team, believe in long term goals than short term. Even when working with the charity, we made strategies which were long term focused.
